Raised in Houston, Texas, Elizabeth was drawn to Tennessee, first as a singer/songwriter and then to attend Sewanee: The University of the South, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s in political science. She moved to Franklin in 2009 and fell in love with the city’s charm, history, picturesque landscape, and warm, friendly people. A published songwriter, paralegal, and entrepreneur, she owned and operated Write Off the Row, a songwriting studio in Nashville, until April of this year.

Elizabeth serves on the administrative council of Franklin’s Christ United Methodist Church and the Chapter Advisory Board of the Sewanee chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority. A lifelong political nerd, she has always had an interest in local issues and policy. Recently with the death of a dear friend, she realized it was time to become even more involved and run to serve the people of Franklin’s Ward 4 as Alderman.

Elizabeth and her husband Nick, an Iraq War veteran, have one daughter and two rescue beagles.
